In this project work a review of the salient features of Power Flow Control using TCSC are elegantly discussed. This dissertation has been organized into nine chapters where first Chapter describes the need of power flow control. Chapter 3rd and 4th describes the concept of active and reactive power flow and the Principle of power flow in transmission line, its analysis with controllable parameter such as load angle, line impedance, and terminal voltage. PSCAD-4.0 / MATLAB Program are used to observe the variation of active and reactive power flow with different variable parameters and set of data. For each set of data, output result is obtained. In the next two Chapters, Principle of series compensation and TCSC with its dynamic characteristics and active power flow control using TCSC with software simulation has been delineated. The consequent remaining Chapters mainly deals with Load flow solution of a 5-bus network by using Newton-Raphson method and power flow control using TCSC, i...en_US
