| Abstract: | The Automobile industry rarely goes through the levels of evolution it is going through right now. The innovation of EVs has forever changed the industry, dividing it into what was before it and after it. There are other factors acting too because of this, like Government regulations to push EVs, fluctuating raw material prices, consumers with no concrete sides to choose and a lot more. And all these changes go beyond boundaries therefore it affects India too in interesting ways, this study is all about The major challenges and structural changes reshaping the Indian automobile sector This study uses a descriptive lens, to look into the effects of these evolutions and how the three major automobile firms in India, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Mahindra are coping with the changing environment. The study is entirely based on the Secondary data taken from the official websites of these companies and some other sources. The sales, cost, revenue and ratios are used to analyze. The conclusion is that, like it or not, EVs will not go away. Traditional cars are becoming more and more expensive to produce, and are also plagued with other environmental issues. While EVs are not even close to perfect in the current state, they are still liked by progressive customers and the government alike, and are projected to grow immensely in the future. |
