dc.description.abstractWith growing competition among the organizations to maximize their profit and increase their footprint, the pressure on the employees has been ever increasing to deliver for the organization which has affected the balance between the work life and personal life of the employees. In last decade work-life balance has been a hot topic of research for the researchers from the various fields like sociology, psychology, HRM, organization studies, gender studies etc. But most of the early work on the topic was carried out in the countries like US,Australia and New Zealand. In India the study on the topic began lately but significant number of research papers have come up since 2016 on work life balance. In this paper we have tried to understand the employee's perspective about their work life. To conduct the study we used a self completing questionnaire to take responses from the employees of various kinds of organization. In this project we found that most of the employees are adversely affected by the poor work life balance. At the end we have presented some recommendations also to tackle this burning issue.en_US
