| Abstract: | SnO2 and SnS2 nanomaterials were synthesized via co-precipitation and hydrothermal methods. The resulting samples were characterized using XRD, FESEM, Ultraviolet Visible (UV-Vis) absorption spectroscopy, and FTIR. XRD analysis showed that both synthesis methods produced pure phases of SnO2 and SnS2. For SnO2, the hydrothermally synthesized material showed sharper and more intense peaks compared to the co-precipitation method, indicating better crystallinity. Similarly, SnS2 synthesized by the hydrothermal method showed well-defined, sharp, and intense peaks, which confirms the improved crystallinity. FESEM analysis revealed a strong dependence of morphology on the synthesis technique. Elemental composition and purity of the SnO2 and SnS2 nanomaterials were determined using EDX. Researchers used UV-Vis spectroscopy for studying optical characteristics of synthesized SnO2 and SnS2 nanomaterials. FTIR analysis confirmed the presence of Sn-O and Sn-S bonds, along with other functional groups. Overall, the results show that the synthesis method and material structure together influence the structural, morphological, and optical properties of the prepared nanomaterials. |
