POCKETFUL STOCK MARKET COMPANION

Abstract

Pocketful is a mobile-first design project aimed at simplifying stock market tracking and portfolio management for new and emerging investors. The project seeks to address the challenges faced by users when navigating complex financial data by transforming it into simple, meaningful, and visually engaging insights. Through a user-centered design approach, the app ensures that even users with minimal financial knowledge can easily interpret trends, understand portfolio performance, and make confident decisions. The design process involved extensive user research, journey mapping, and multiple iterations of low- and high-fidelity prototypes. A clean visual system, interactive data visualizations, and guided microcopy were developed to enhance comprehension and usability. The final outcome not only improves how users engage with financial information but also promotes financial literacy by making investment tracking more intuitive, inclusive, and accessible to a broader audience.
