Abstract: | This project report delves into the theme of "Perception & Acceptance of EV Vehicles in India," crafted through a comprehensive synthesis of primary and secondary data sources. Primary data acquisition involved direct engagement with respondents via structured questionnaires, while secondary data was gleaned from a variety of reputable sources such as books, the internet, newspapers, and magazines. The report is structured into several chapters to facilitate a thorough exploration of the topic. The introductory chapter provides an overview of Electric Vehicles (EVs), setting the stage for subsequent discussions. The following chapter conducts a literature review, offering a robust justification for the chosen project title. Moving forward, the report examines the business environment surrounding electric vehicles, encompassing governmental initiatives aimed at promoting EV adoption, an analysis of state wise electric vehicle penetration in India, as well as a comprehensive SWOT Analysis and Porters Five Forces Analysis. The research methodology chapter outlines the framework within which the study was conducted, elucidating aspects such as research definition, problem statement, objectives, design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques. Additionally, it discusses the intricacies of primary and secondary data collection, sampling plans, units, sizes, and methods, alongside a discourse on data analysis and interpretation, research report preparation, and the inherent limitations of the study. The subsequent chapter delves into the data analysis derived from the responses garnered through the questionnaire, employing frequency tables and Chi-square tests to extract meaningful insights. Following this, the report presents findings based on the data analysis, culminating in a conclusive chapter that synthesizes the key discoveries and draws insightful conclusions. |
