This study investigates the Bianchi type-I space-time model with perfect fluid in the context of the modified theory of gravity, specifically the f(R, T) modified theory. Here, R represents the Ricci scalar, and T denotes the trace of the energy momentum tensor. The gravitational field equations corresponding to the f(R, T) theory are solved by considering expansion anisotropy as a function of the aver age scale factor. The analysis involves estimating the best-fit values of the model parameters through the use of a combined dataset comprising Cosmic Chronome ters (CC) measurements (31 data points), a type Ia supernova dataset (1048 data points), and a Baryon Acoustic Oscillations dataset (ten measurements). The Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) method is employed for parameter estima tion. The obtained results reveal that the deceleration parameter of the Universe underwent an initial decelerated phase followed by a transition to an accelerated phase. Additionally, the study explores cosmographic and cosmological parame ters, proposes potential improvements, and presents the findings using diagrams. Overall, this investigation contributes to our understanding of the Bianchi type-I space-time model in the framework of the f(R, T) modified theory of gravity and provides valuable insights into the evolution and dynamics of the Universe.en_US
