Abstract: This study describes the development of a mobile application called Helping Paw, designed to provide a platform for people to assist stray animals in need. Stray animal populations, mainly dogs and cats, have been increasing each year, and as cities expand and animal welfare organizations remain scarce, these animals struggle to find basic necessities. The first phase of this research involved an in-depth examination of the causes of stray animal populations, their increasing numbers, behaviour, present situation in India, and solutions proposed by the government. The second phase emphasized connecting with people to understand their views on helping stray animals. The concept of Helping Paw and methods to evaluate its effectiveness are also discussed in detail. The application's design is based on people's interactions with different applications. The research results indicate that the Helping Paw application is an effective way to help stray animals.
