dc.description.abstract | The notion of Petri Net, formerly developed by Carl Adam Petri, is useful for modeling and analyzing a system’s behavior. Petri Net is a graphical tool, defined as a bipartite graph consisting of two types of nodes, places (conditions) and transitions (events). Petri net modeling can be a vital tool to help make decisions at various levels and types of organizations. In this paper, we endorse a Petri net model of curriculum management to support the decision-making process among university administrators, students, and lecturers and outline the various steps involved in verifying a curriculum, its behavioral properties, modeling, and analysis using Petri nets. Management can also use this model to verify the inner consistency of an existing and upcoming development syllabus, determine the student’s career progress, and determine the probability of a student dropping out. | en_US |
