Abstract: Holistically, this project is concerned about the major factors that are there in the mind of the customer while they go for investing in any kind of Mutual Funds (MF) or insurances or other kind of investment products. The major investment products that I have worked with for the purpose of the research work are MF, Insurance & Gold. As the project work consists of more of a practical work rather than the theoretical study flexibility is maintained throughout the proceeding. The project consists of few stages like gaining the product knowledge, market research in the form of sample survey, analysis of the collected data by way of descriptive study. The project was a 3 phased work with a multi-dimensional approach. 1st phase was to gain knowledge about the products in this Investments & Services (I&S) sector, followed by the market research by way of sample survey in the respective branches. Prior to this sample survey one very important stage was questionnaire designing. After that the last stage was the descriptive study of the sample. This was necessary for the purpose of decision making & recommendation purpose. Project has also offered the experience of lead generation, customer handling, selling & formulating marketing strategies, corporate tie-ups in its various phases.
