Authors: | Thomas, Juisha Purohit, Shrishti Titoria, Ashi |
Keywords: | MAJOR RESEARCH PROJECT VIRTUE OF APPRECIATION INTERGENERATIONAL DIFFERENCES e-questionnaire |
Issue Date: | 31-May-2021 |
Description: | Purpose- Generational diversity has great potential. Each generation has unique characteristics because of which things might not be always go smoothly. The study “Intergenerational Differences in the Virtue of Appreciation” is a quantitative methodological approach to identify the different perspectives, attitudes, and behaviours exhibited by the generational groups (16-23=post millennial, 24-39= millennials and 40 and above = pre-millennials.). The project discusses the concept of appreciation and the generation. The purpose of the study was to investigate whether intergenerational difference in the virtue of appreciation, exist or not, across 3 generation classes: pre-millennial, millennial and post- millennial and to enhance knowledge related to the appreciation stimuli among the generational diversity. Design/Methodology- The data was collected with the help of an e-questionnaire. Data collected was subjected to thorough measures of reliability, validity and ANOVA. Findings/Results – The result states that there is a difference in the degree of appreciation amongst the three sets of generation: pre-millennial, millennial and post-millennial. Value/Originality – It is one of the fascinating studies which explores intergenerational differences in the virtue of appreciation. Since intergenerational participation and their management at work are becoming a necessity, better understanding of these intergenerational differences can lead to better collaboration, communication, and help to tailor out the practices or the arrangements to extend the best from each generation. |
