In this thesis, it is shown that the current mode instrumentation amplifier (CMIA) based on second generation current conveyor (CCII) offers benefits over conventional instrumentation amplifier (IA) architectures. A new design of current mode instrumentation amplifier (CM IA) and transimpedance mode instrumentation amplifier (TIM IA) based on Dual X second generation current conveyor (DXCCII) as a building block, has been presented in this thesis. The proposed circuit uses three DXCCII for both current mode instrumentation amplifier as well as transimpedance mode instrumentation amplifier. PSPICE simulation using TSMC 0.35-μm CMOS technology process parameters under voltage supply of ±2.5 V has been used and further simulation results conforms that CMMR has high bandwidth and high gain bandwidth product (GBP) that is independent of gain.en_US
