Abstract: Fractional order circuits incorporating fractional calculus concept have various applications in many fields namely, bio-medical engineering, control system, analog signal processing/generation, etc. In the present dissertation, along with a brief review of different methods of approximations used for the fractional order differentiator and integrator operator, fractional order analog universal filter circuits using operational transconductance amplifier and LT 1228 ICs have been presented. The workability of all the fractional order filter circuits along with fractional operator have been verified through PSPICE simulation and MATLAB simulation. Also, stability of all the designed fractional order filters have been discussed briefly.
