Abstract: Islamic banking is considered as alternative to conventional banking. It focuses on profit/loss and risk sharing, than interest based deposit/lending followed in conventional banking. The main regulation governing utilization of funds in the islamic context prohibition of transactions on a 'Riba' (interest) basis. Shari'a prohibited usury absolutely, regardless of its percentage, whether it was high or low and the usury gain is forbidden.
