dc.description.abstractEnhancement of image resolution is an important area as these images gives a lot of information about climatic changes, disaster prediction i.e tsunami and cyclone detection, traffic monitoring etc. The thesis report focuses on enhancing the image resolution using Discrete wavelet transform and then performing the Lanczos interpolation of high frequency components to enhance the resolution. Lanczos interpolation has been used as it gives better results as compared to other conventional interpolation techniques. The parameter analysis of high resolution image has been carried out in which PSNR, MAE, MSE and Pearson correlation coefficient has been calculated.en_US
