A thermodynamic analysis is done for cascade cycle which is a combination of vapour compression system with vapour absorption system. The objective of the work is to determine the effects of different parameters on the performance of the cycle. Equations used follow the first law of thermodynamics. Capacity of the cascade cycle is taken as 50 kw. Refrigerants used in the cycle are lithium bromide-water in the absorption cycle and R134a in the vapour compression cycle. EES has been used to find out the results through doing simulation in it. The result of the simulation is to study the relationship between different components of the cycle such as generator, condenser, heat exchanger evaporator on the cop of the cycle. The outcome can be used to enhance the performance and determine the parameters for better working of the cascade cycle.en_US
