Abstract: | Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are excellent materials in sense of their wide range of applications in hydrogen storage, biochemical applications, catalytic support, chemical sensor and field emission. Such extraordinarily applications are due to unique geometry, high mechanical strength, high chemical stability and excellent thermal and electrical conductivity. There are Various synthesis techniques such as laser ablation arc discharge, plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition and Thermal chemical vapour deposition (CVD) is currently using throughout. Among these methods, Thermal CVD system is one of the most commonly used techniques for laboratory and commercially for large scale synthesis of CNTs. Thermal decomposition of ferrocene provides both catalytic particles and carbon sources for MWCNT growth using Ar as a carrier gas, and acetylene as a carbon source then We first turn to a local-scale analysis of the sample morphology and structure using both SEM and HRTEM. |
