The rapid diffusion of Internet and open standard technologies is producing a significant growth of the demand of web sites and web applications with more and more strict requirements of usability, reliability, interoperability and security. While several methodological and technological proposals for developing web applications are coming both from industry and academia, there is a general lack of methods and tools to carry out the key processes that significantly impact the quality of a web application (WA), such as the Validation &Verification (V& V), and quality assurance. In this thesis, an approach WSDM( Web Site design Method) being used for constructing web applications and web sites is modified by integrating Agile methodology to it. The basis for this integration is to enhance testing of web applications so that more reliable, maintainable, flexible and effective framework shall be proposed. The new proposed model i.e, combination of WSDM and AGILE TESTING shall perform testing with simultaneous execution of development phases. This agility will make the WSDM approach flexible enough to incorporate changes at any phase as methodology possesses the ability to successfully deliver result quickly and inexpensively in short intervals of time. Furthermore, in this thesis a comparative analysis is drawn between the Proposed model and a model proposed by some other author using a case study. A case study, carried out with the aim of assessing the effectiveness of the proposed method and tools, produced interesting and encouraging results.en_US
