dc.description.abstract | Band-pass filters play a vital role in wireless communication systems. Transmitted and received signals have to be filtered at a certain centre frequency with a specific bandwidth. Band-pass filters are used as frequency selective component in many RF and Microwave applications. There are several applications of a band-pass filter, for instance, at the receiver end it is used to eliminate the image frequency and to bandlimit the received signal. In the transmitter, they are used to reject the spurious signals generated by the local oscillator (LO). This project deals with the analysis, design, simulation, fabrication and testing of parallel coupled band-pass filter. Advanced Design System (ADS) 2011.10 Software is used for mathematical calculations and simulations. The filter is designed at the centre frequency 2.4 GHz using FR-4 as a substrate. | en_US |
