dc.description.abstractABSTRACT • The purpose of this project work is to develop an energy conversion device which can directly convert the abundant solar energy available in every part of India into electricity. Using the technical knowledge I have gained under the guidance of my teachers at Delhi Technological University, I would like to serve the people of India who do not have access to electricity (especially in rural areas) by giving them a source of clean energy which is easy to operate and reliable. • The Portable Energy Generator will be a boon for rural India as it can easily generate the energy required per day by a rural house hold. It is noise and pollution free. It is portable and can be easily folded, hence no danger of being stolen. • Few of the areas in which this device can be utilized are Domestic consumption for cooking, lightening. It can also be used in Industrial applications of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises and also for on farm energy consumption. • In this Project work Chapter 1 deals with energy scenario in rural India. Chapter 3 sheds light on recent solar energy technologies and developments whereas the subsequent chapter gives in detail the policies and missions introduced by Indian government to flourish renewable energy in India. Chapter 5 shows the Design consideration of the PV pack and chapter 6 shows the solution which fits our needs. Complete results and conclusions are compiled in chapter 7.en_US
