Abstract: | This work presents a simple way to prepare a polymer (PMMA) Porphyrin based film for optical gas sensor. Porphyrin nanoparticle was also synthesized for this study. The dip-dry coating method that was employed in this work and resulted film shows a strong absorption band at 418 nm. A simple method by change in color of film gave qualitative analysis of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and ammonia (NH3) molecules adsorbed on the film by their absorption bands. The Polymer (PMMA) Porhyrin film was prepared on glass substrate and spectrometer was used to obtain the spectra as sensing the vapor molecules. |
