T The search for one dimensional materials to substitute silicon in electronic devices has widened up in the past decade. Carbon nanotube is a promising material as it boasts of its unique switching nature of conductivity from metallic to semiconducting according to its geometry. In this project, the goal is to design and implement an optimized method for the growth of Ni-encapsulated carbon nanotubes using thermal CVD and to characterize it using standard available characterization techniquesen_US
