dc.description.abstractABSTRACT In this project, different methods of estimating parameters of induction motor are discussed. The estimation methods such as H-G diagrams, Microprocessor based approach. Neural Networks are mainly used in estimating parameters of induction motor such as rotor resistance, stator resistance and magnetizing inductance. An artificial neural network (ANN) based methods have been used to estimate the rotor resistance of a field oriented controlled (FOC) induction motor. The main advantage of using artificial neural networks is that they can be used for the online Identification of induction motor parameters. The feed forward and recurrent networks are developed to build ANN as memory for computing the parameters during transients. In this project complete mathematical model of FOC induction motor is described and simulated in matalab .For simulation studies a 120 kW ,460 V ,60 Hz induction motor has been considered .The performance of FOC drive with proportional pl...en_US
