In the present times of fast depleting fuel resources, growing concerns for environment and an ever-increasing demand for electricity and process heat, the need for more efficient and less polluting cogeneration systems can hardly be over emphasized. In this respect, gas turbine cogeneration system with regenerator and a suitable Waste Heat Recovery Steam Generator (WHRSG) presents a very attractive concept. The gas turbine cogeneration power system consists of a number of diverse components such as compressor, turbine, regenerator, and combustion chamber etc., connected in interactive loops. The design and optimization of this system require performance prediction of components and system as a whole. In the present work, attempt has been made to design a cogeneration system and understood its performance characteristics. Computer based procedures for cycle analysis and system simulation has been developed. The exhaustive parametric study has been performed. The parameters studied f...en_US
