dc.description.abstractIn today’s environment, the chain-chain competition has started to take over the enterprise-enterprise competition. The forward-looking enterprises today are dynamic; they collaborate with suppliers, customers and even with competitors; share information and knowledge aiming to create a supply chain that is capable of competing in the marketplace. Hence, gaining competitive edge under such a cut-throat environment becomes increasingly difficult and survival and success of the industries depends upon the competitiveness of the supply chain, i.e., the ability to compete in the marketplace. In this research, factors for supply chain competitiveness are identified. These factors are further grouped under three main factors which are Assets, Processes and Performance. A hierarchy model is developed from these factors in which Assets and Processes each consists of 4 sub-factors and Performance consists of 3 sub-factors.
