| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation presents the performance evaluation of a multi-user CDMA system in terms of Probability of error (Pe) v/s SNR for wide variety of vital system parameters & components. The study has been motivated by the fact that CDMA greatly simplifies the complexity of a system & enables efficient and reliable multiple access. It also contravenes the need of elaborate network synchronization in traditional approaches like TDM, FDM. As an alternative to traditional approach a simulation has been envisaged in Matlab which is a powerful technical computing tool. The variable parameters are: The system has been tested for an optimal combination of the following components: Error detecting/correcting codes-Cyclic codes, convolution codes, Spreading codes- Hadamard-Walsh codes. QPSK modulation. Channel- AWGN Receiver – integrate & dump followed by a correlation detector. Pulse shaping-rectangular. Various graphs have been plotted between Pe & SNR as a measure of perfo... | en_US |
